Gunnar Tarsa is the Boy Who Sees Yellow. He was born in New Jersey and relocated to Georgia, outside of Atlanta. He received his BFA with an emphasis on Drawing from the Lamar Dodd School of Art in Athens, GA. His works have mostly been shown in public places and alternative spaces. His methodology of working is through stream of consciousness, practiced instincts, and automatic drawing. He seeks to research and document all of the inner workings of his mind within his work. These “Mind Maps” come to life through the archaic mediums of drawing, painting, and sculpture with a focus on materials and all things being an appropriate canvas. He is on a lifelong mission to spread a message of truth and celebrate the collaborative creative energy within all humans.

A discovery awaits me in the primordial goop. I sift around until I find the center. Sinking down, gripped by the pressures of a history around me. My eyes lose focus, but my mind guides my sight. My soul fires my engine of being. I see myself. The most human form of myself. He grasps my heart.
"Let's inspire humanity."
He pushes my consciousness to the heavens. I whisper a prayer into the darkness.
"We are human beings."
